Best Headlight Restoration Kit Reviews 2017

If you are looking to clean up and restore the headlights on your vehicle, then there are a few good restoration kits around, to help with that task. It is still a bit of work to get them looking their best, but at least these kits give you the right tools, to get the job done.

These are good for getting rid of minor scratches, and also to get rid of that dull and cloudy look. The only alternative to that is to replace the headlights, which can be expensive. In many older vehicles, there may simply be no replacements available.

Even if you can pick some up, chances are they will still need some attention anyway.

So in this article, we look at cleaning ans restoring the actual headlight lenses. The chrome if you have any can be restored by washing in soapy water, and then using a good chrome cleaner.

There are a  few of these lens restoration kits on the market, so we have created a top 5 list, where we have prioritised them by actual user and buyer rating. The better the rating, the higher we have placed it on the list.

I thought I'd try this stuff out, and was pretty happy with the results for a while. It was easy to apply and took only about 20 minutes. However, the clarity of my lenses didn't last very long.

How To Use Headlight Lens Restoration Kits

The principle of all these kits is pretty much the same, when it comes to using them. Rather than have a lot of words to explain the process, have a look at the video below.

In this case the guy used the Meguiar's kit, but this process works with any of the kits shown above. One important thing is to tape the area of the car around the headlight, to prevent that paintwork or chrome getting damaged.

After that it really does come down to the amount of effort that you put into your sanding. The more you so, the better the results will be. Using a drill is of course a lot faster, and a lot less work than doing this sanding by hand.
